This self taught course on waste management is aimed at managers/supervisors who have responsibility for ensuring that the waste produced on site is managed in accordance with legal requirements, focusing on the duty of care of waste.
This could range from ensuring that the duty of care is complied with to minimising waste production and segregating waste prior to recovery/recycling. It will also be of benefit to environmental practitioners who need a refresher.
It is designed to be completed at your own pace and a certificate of completion will be issued on completion of the post course questionnaire.

This one-day fully interactive IEMA awareness course will benefit anybody with an interest in improving their organisation's environmental management, including those wishing to start their environmental career. It will show delegates why the environment matters to their organisation and provide an introduction to environmental legislation and how environmental management systems can meet customer requirements.
The training programme can help to engage and empower environmental steering groups and green champions to be more focused and productive, ensuring that environmental objectives are achieved and good ideas produced.
